What does Zero Cross Function mean in SSR in Solid State Relays?

Zero cross function will allow the relay to turn ON when the AC load power supply approaches 0 V suppressing any noise generated with a sudden load current increase. Zero cross function is effective across 2 types of noise, noise on power lines and noise emitted into open space. Standards UL 508, TUV, VDE, EN 60950.
