This hygrostat or humidity sensor is adjustable and used to control humidity within living rooms, offices or laboratories. Suitable for wall mounting or direct mounting on a UP-socket it offers a 35-100% RH humidity range. Featuring an easy to use control dial, users can easily identify and set the % of humidity.

Application includes ventilation equipment, humidifiers or dehumidifiers.

How do Humidistats work?

Humidistats are used in conjunction with humidifiers, air conditioners and dehumidifiers. They use a sensor element to detect moisture in the air and monitor its levels, they then control the device turning it on and off when needed. Using electrical resistance and metal conductors, a relay amplifier will measure resistance allowing the humidistat to determine whether to switch a device on or off to reach optimal levels.
